Gate and cladding for New Burlington Mews, Regent Street in bronze and Portland stone
Commissioned by The Crown Estate, 2014
Art consultant: Philomena Davidson, Davidson Arts Partnership
This work is inspired by the heritage of the Regent Street area. In the early 20th century when John Nash's Regent Street facade was rebuilt, the area was a hub for clock and watch makers. The commission takes inspiration from engravings on turn of the century pocket watches and offers a link to the past through a contemporary expression of mechanical time-keeping.
